3 Things Captain America Would Do If He Were A Network Marketer

With the recent release of Captain America Civil War, I started thinking about what makes these movies so successful. Surprisingly, much of what makes these movies work can be directly applied to network marketing. Let’s see what Captain America has to teach us about building a better business…

1) Copy What Works

There’s a reason why each year we’re being bombarded with more and more super powered people in colorful spandex. Specifically, there is ONE reason… and that one reason is… it just works.

These movies are a huge box office success, generating billions of dollars. Rather than trying to come up with something new all the time, smart people cash in on what works until it stops working.

This same principle should be applied to your network marketing business. A lot of people get caught in the trap of trying to re-invent the wheel. They think they need to be clever and come up with new ingenious ways of doing things to be successful.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Just do what works.

There is a very simple process to building this business. You need a tool that does most of the presenting for you, like a good sales funnel. Then you invite people to take a look at that tool. Then you followup with the interested prospects.

That’s it. No need to over complicate things.

For example, when people join us in our business, we build a sales funnel for them that we already know converts. Then we give them access to the same traffic strategies we’re using to send people to our own sales funnel. Then we show them exactly how we are following up with our interested prospects…

That’s it. With those things in place, anyone should be able to replicate what we’re doing, if they’re doing the exact same things.

2) People Love Heroes

Who doesn’t love a hero? They inspire us to consider what could be, rather than just accepting what is. People love a hero and they love to follow a hero.

The top producers in this industry know this principle well and they’ve gone to great lengths to cultivate a kind of super hero status about themselves.

That doesn’t mean that you have to be a well-known superstar to be successful, it just means that the more your’e willing to put yourself out there, the easier this business will become.

Thankfully, we’re living in a time when this is actually relatively easy. All you need to get yourself in front of your prospects in a more personal way, is a smartphone and a YouTube account… 2 things almost everyone on the planet already has.

You can do this with things like blog posts as well, or even just sharing relevant content with your prospects that you’ve found around the web. Anything to brand you as an authority and, more importantly, a person who is willing to help.

But videos will always be the most effective and easiest way to do this. Getting in front of a camera may not be the most comfortable thing in the world to do, but it is something that almost anyone is capable of doing with little to no coaching.

You just need to be able to record a video, and tap a button to upload that video to YouTube.

3) People Love Entertainment

Big shocker… people love to be entertained. We spend billions of dollars every year consuming new content to feed our insatiable desire for entertainment.

Those who are the most entertaining have a leg up, be it teachers, coaches, actors, or network marketers.

But before you start thinking you have to resort to gimmicks or be super entertaining to be successful, hold on a second. Our industry is not an entertainment industry, it’s educational.

So your goal isn’t necessarily to entertain, but to educate in an entertaining way. If you’re not funny, don’t start telling bad jokes to your prospects. If you’re not charismatic, don’t try copying those who are… it will just look silly.

The people who are coming to you aren’t looking to be entertained, they’re looking for a way to quit their job, get out of debt, make money from home, and change their life.

That’s the information they want, so give them that information… just remember that we are hardwired to pay attention to things that are entertaining and ignore things that are boring.

So always be thinking of ways to make your content more interesting. This can be as simple as adding colorful pictures and videos to a blog post. Or using more casual language that people can relate to. Shooting videos in a more colorful setting, using a better quality camera, etc.

Just always keep it in the back of your mind that the more entertaining you can make your content, the longer you’ll be able to hold people’s interest. And the longer you can hold their interest, the more chances you have to get your message through to them so they can take action.
